Getting Started Tutorial

Follow these steps to set up variant descriptions for your store

Install the App

Get started by installing Variants Description Pro from the Shopify App Store.

  1. Go to the Shopify App Store and search for 'Variants Description Pro'
  2. Click 'Add app' and authorize the required permissions
  3. The app will automatically install and appear in your Apps section

Add Your First Description

Navigate to a product and create unique descriptions for each variant.

  1. Go to Apps → Variants Description Pro → Products
  2. Select any product with variants
  3. Click on a variant to open the description editor
  4. Write or generate a description using the rich text editor
  5. Click 'Save' to store your description
💡Use the AI Generate button to automatically create unique descriptions based on your variant options.

Enable Theme Display

Configure your theme to show variant descriptions to customers.

  1. Go to Apps → Variants Description Pro → Settings
  2. Click on the 'Theme Blocks' tab
  3. Enable the 'App Embed' toggle
  4. Click 'Open Theme Editor'
  5. Navigate to your product template
  6. Click 'Add block' and select 'Variant Description'
  7. Position the block where you want it to appear
  8. Save your theme changes
💡The description automatically updates when customers select different variants - no page reload needed!

Generate with AI (Optional)

Use AI to create unique descriptions for all your variants at once.

  1. Go to AI Studio in the app
  2. Select the products you want to process
  3. Choose your preferred tone (professional, friendly, luxury)
  4. Select the description length (short, medium, long)
  5. Click 'Generate Descriptions'
  6. Review and edit the generated content as needed
💡AI generation is available on Professional and Enterprise plans. You can also purchase credit packages.

Translate to Multiple Languages (Optional)

Automatically translate your descriptions to all your shop's languages.

  1. Make sure you have multiple languages published in Shopify (Settings → Languages)
  2. In AI Studio, switch to the 'Translate' tab
  3. Select your source language and target languages
  4. Select the products to translate
  5. Click 'Translate' to start the process
  6. Translations are stored using Shopify's native translation system
💡Translated descriptions automatically appear when customers view your store in different languages.

Enable Automation (Enterprise)

Set up automatic processing for all new products.

  1. Go to Automation Studio
  2. Click 'Activate' to enable full automation
  3. New products will automatically get descriptions and translations
  4. No manual work required - everything happens in the background
💡Automation is perfect for stores with frequent new products. Available on Enterprise plan.
